Position Overview: The Maintenance Group Leader oversees skilled trades employees in a fast-paced manufacturing setting, focusing on daily maintenance operations, equipment reliability, safety initiatives, and operational efficiency. Key Responsibilities Lead, coach, and develop skilled trades staff to achieve safety, productivity, and performance targetsPlan and manage daily maintenance activities, including troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive tasksFacilitate team meetings, communicate priorities, and provide operational updatesPromote safety culture and ensure compliance with safety standardsSupport hiring, training, employee development, and performance managementCollaborate with leadership and production teams to reduce downtime and enhance equipment reliabilityMonitor maintenance metrics, labor utilization, and operational trends for continuous improvementEnsure maintenance work is performed efficiently and in accordance with procedures and expectations Qualifications & Skills Minimum of 2 years in manufacturing maintenance1-2 years in a management role supervising union employeesAbility to work eveningsBachelor’s degree or equivalent experienceStrong team management and independent working skillsAbility to handle multiple tasks efficiently Developing skills, supporting safety, and driving operational excellence are essential to this leadership role, with flexibility for evolving responsibilities.
