Maintenance Supervisor – Food Processing Facility

About the role

The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the maintenance activities within a food processing facility, ensuring all equipment and systems are functioning optimally to maintain high standards of hygiene and safety.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily maintenance tasks to ensure all equipment and systems are operational.
• Coordinate with vendors and contractors to schedule and manage repairs and upgrades.
• Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations and company policies.
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime.
• Collaborate with other departments to address cross-functional issues related to facility operations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a food processing environment.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong knowledge of food industry standards and regulations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends as needed.

Skills

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience with facility management software.
• Knowledge of HACCP principles.
