About the role
The Maintenance Supervisor will oversee maintenance teams responsible for the installation, repair, and preventive maintenance of critical equipment across the plant, facilities, utilities, and powerhouse. This role ensures that product flows and production lines run at peak performance.
Responsibilities
- Lead teams of Maintenance Mechanics and Electricians in predictive and preventive maintenance as well as machine repairs
- Train employees on proper work methods and safety procedures
- Supervise and support maintenance systems, processes, and documentation to ensure high performance
- Schedule equipment and facility repairs in a timely manner
- Develop and implement maintenance systems such as Predictive and Preventive Maintenance programs, TPM, SOPs, and safety protocols
- Provide long-term solutions and day-to-day support for troubleshooting, problem analysis, and equipment failures
- Own performance monitoring and reporting, developing and maintaining KPIs to track supplier performance, contractor performance, equipment reliability, and overall equipment effectiveness
- Ensure all maintenance tasks comply with USDA regulations
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance work and inventory
- Support a positive employee experience through development and coaching
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university in Engineering or a related field, and 2+ years of relevant experience (or an equivalent combination of education and experience)
- Experience leading others through training, coaching, or mentoring, or through managing a process or project
- Ability to lead problem-solving and troubleshooting efforts for high-level process issues
- Background in food manufacturing or a similar industry
- Strong electro-mechanical skillset
- Strong root cause analysis background
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office
Preferred Qualifications
- Ammonia refrigeration background
- Advanced technical skills in ammonia refrigeration, high-pressure boiler, compressed air, mechanical, and electrical fields (PLCs, instrumentation, mechanical engineering)
- Experience leading resource planning efforts in a large manufacturing environment
- Thorough knowledge of maintenance systems, work order processes, preventive and predictive maintenance, TPM, and inventory and scheduling software
- Strong leadership skills, including conflict resolution, facilitation, change management, decision-making, and delegation
- Good planning and priority-setting skills
Pay
$80,000 to $100,000 per year, plus bonus
