About the role

The Arkansas Legal Fellowship program provides legal training and practical experience to law students who are interested in public service. Fellows work on a variety of projects related to civil rights, criminal justice reform, and other areas of public interest under the supervision of experienced attorneys.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in conducting legal research and drafting legal documents
  • Participate in client meetings and community outreach events
  • Contribute to policy analysis and advocacy efforts
  • Support the development and implementation of legal strategies

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a law school
  • Strong academic record
  • Interest in public service and civil rights issues
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Qualifications

  • Law degree from an accredited institution
  • Passage of the bar exam
