About the Role

We are looking for a motivated and dependable Maintenance Lead to support our plastic injection molding operations by driving equipment reliability, minimizing downtime, and promoting a strong safety culture. In this leadership-focused role, you will work closely with Production, Scheduling, Quality, and Engineering teams to ensure equipment and facility systems operate efficiently and safely. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver with strong troubleshooting skills, a sense of urgency, and the ability to prioritize maintenance activities in a high-volume manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and support daily maintenance activities for production equipment, facility systems, and grounds
  • Coordinate preventative maintenance activities with Production Scheduling to minimize downtime and maximize efficiency
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair injection molding equipment, auxiliary equipment, and facility infrastructure
  • Maintain accurate inventory levels for critical spare parts and maintenance consumables
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on equipment reliability and operational efficiency
  • Assist with sourcing vendors and managing onsite contractors as needed
  • Utilize purchasing and PO systems for parts, service work, and contractor support
  • Ensure maintenance activities are completed safely and in compliance with company safety standards and ISO 13485 procedures
  • Partner cross-functionally with all departments to respond quickly to maintenance needs and production priorities

What Success Looks Like

The Maintenance Lead is accountable for key operational metrics including:

  • Preventative Maintenance completion and compliance
  • Equipment uptime and response time
  • Accuracy and organization of spare parts inventory
  • Safe execution of all maintenance activities

Requirements

  • 7+ years of Maintenance experience in a plastic injection manufacturing environment
  • Experience in the medical device industry or ISO 13485 environment a plus
  • Experience with PLC’s, automation, and vision systems preferred
  • Documented HVAC, hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical credentials preferred
  • Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work effectively under tight deadlines
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Experience working with preventative maintenance systems and vendor coordination
  • Commitment to workplace safety and continuous improvement
  • Positive attitude, process & results driven, organized, and able to bring projects to a successful conclusion
  • Strong teamwork and problem-solving skills
