About the role
The Facilities Supervisor at The Scion Group is a key team member responsible for ensuring the safety and functionality of the property's buildings and equipment. This role involves managing building services and preventative maintenance, supervising daily operations, and prioritizing maintenance tasks.
Responsibilities
- Manage all building services and preventative maintenance programs.
- Supervise day-to-day operations including HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and building maintenance.
- Maintain and operate life safety systems, including fire pumps, sprinklers, and alarms.
- Prioritize and schedule maintenance work, ensuring quality and documentation.
- Manage Facilities Technicians to ensure service requests are completed within standards.
- Manage facilities budgets and review completed work for accuracy.
- Inspect vacant units post-repair and ensure readiness for occupancy.
- Oversee maintenance spare parts and tools inventory, maintaining records.
- Coordinate vendor deliveries and oversee contracted work.
- Ensure safety procedures are followed and enforce health & safety policies.
- Manage keying and coding of locks, maintaining security protocols.
- Implement and adhere to standard operating procedures and preventive maintenance programs.
- Hire, train, and develop the Facilities team.
Requirements
- High school diploma/GED, trade school diploma, or military training.
- 5 years of relevant experience managing building systems in multi-unit residential properties.
- 2 years of supervisory experience.
- 2 years' experience with building automation systems and life safety systems.
- EPA 608 Universal certification.
- HVAC/EPA 608 Universal certification.
- Certified Pool Operator (CPO) or intent to obtain within six months.
- Expertise in plumbing, HVAC, electrical, and mechanical systems.
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and CMMS.
- Valid driver’s license.
