Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise maintenance technicians and contract personnel supporting the Natrium Demonstration Project.
- Oversee preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance activities for mechanical, electrical, and I&C systems as they transition from construction to operational status.
- Ensure maintenance activities comply with NRC regulations, INPO guidelines, Natrium project procedures, and TerraPower quality standards.
- Support system walkdowns, construction turnover, and verification of system readiness for testing, commissioning, and operation.
- Cookordination maintenance planning and execution with Operations, Engineering, Work Management, Radiation Protection, and Construction teams.
- Reinforce nuclear safety culture, human performance tools, and ALARA principles.
- Ensure maintenance documentation, work packages, and Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) records meet regulatory and project requirements.
- Support troubleshooting and resolution of equipment issues to maintain system reliability and support commissioning milestones.
- Assist in developing maintenance procedures, staffing plans, and long-term maintenance strategies.
- Monitor maintenance performance metrics and implement corrective actions to improve reliability and efficiency.
- Participate in the corrective action program, root cause evaluations, and event investigations.
- Ensure maintenance tools, equipment, and materials are properly maintained and controlled.
- Support outage planning and execution as the Natrium plant transitions to operational phases.
Qualifications & Skills
- Minimum 6 years of maintenance experience in power generation, industrial operations, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of leadership or supervisory experience.
- Strong technical knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and I&C systems.
- Experience working in highly regulated environments; nuclear industry experience strongly preferred.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with CMMS tools and maintenance planning processes.
- Experience supporting construction-to-operations transitions or commissioning activities.
- Experience with EVMS, project controls, or equipment reliability programs.
