Summary
Works closely with the Facilities Manager to create and maintain a safe, aesthetically pleasing, and operable property within the guidelines of the Resort's environmental commitment. This is a non‑exempt hourly position (FLSA status: Non‑Exempt/Hourly).
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain or coordinate maintenance of lodging units and resort.
- Communicate project details and progress with the Facilities Manager.
- Maintain homeowner billing information for maintenance and invoice owners.
- Assign daily work orders to maintenance staff.
- Maintain all information for maintenance accounts payable vendors, including coding and posting of invoices; coordinate with the Accounting Department.
- Coordinate room availability with Reservations.
- Respond to maintenance requests reported by Housekeeping and other resort staff in a timely manner.
- Answer phones and address maintenance questions from homeowners, resort management, and staff.
- Schedule work orders and ensure they are completed promptly.
- Type, mail, copy, log, and file correspondence.
- Assist the Facilities Manager with homeowner inventory and month‑end billing.
- Monitor staff performance and execute staff training as directed by the Facilities Manager.
- Perform all duties of a Maintenance Technician as needed.
- Support the recycling program and enforce the no‑idle policy for Sundance vehicles.
- Educate staff on the Resort’s environmental commitment to strengthen departmental culture.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED; 5+ years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 2 years supervisory experience preferred.
- Extensive knowledge of hand tools, power tools, HVAC, electrical troubleshooting, commercial cooking equipment repair, plumbing, propane distribution, boilers, radiant heating, drywalling, painting, staining, framing, and carpentry.
- Ability to read blueprints and strong accounting/organizational skills.
- Proficiency in word processing, spreadsheets, internet navigation, email, and typing 20‑30 wpm.
- Knowledge of QuickBooks, SMS, and Guestware helpful.
- Proficient in two‑way radio communication.
- Any professional skilled‑trade licensing or certifications are helpful.
- Strong leadership and financial management abilities, including budget preparation and adherence.
Work Environment
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds or more.
- Work in varied conditions: cold, hot, snowy, rain, dust, mud.
- Regular exposure to wet/humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, high/precipitous places, outside weather, extreme temperatures, electrical shock risk, and vibration.
- Occasional exposure to fumes, airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals.
- Noise level usually moderate, occasionally loud.

Schedule
