Maintenance Supervisor
About the role
Seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to lead a team of maintenance technicians within a fast-paced industrial manufacturing environment. This hands-on leadership role is responsible for coordinating daily maintenance operations, maximizing equipment reliability, minimizing downtime, and supporting production through effective preventive maintenance and troubleshooting.
Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of Maintenance Technicians on 3rd shift
- Schedule and prioritize daily maintenance activities to support production goals
- Coordinate preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities to maximize equipment reliability
- Respond to equipment breakdowns and oversee emergency repairs
- Perform routine inspections of production equipment and facility infrastructure
- Partner with Production, Engineering, and other departments to minimize downtime
- Promote and enforce all safety policies while fostering a strong safety culture
- Maintain maintenance records, work orders, and equipment history within the CMMS
- Manage spare parts inventory and coordinate with Purchasing to maintain critical inventory levels
- Coordinate outside contractors for specialized maintenance projects
- Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to improve equipment performance and maintenance efficiency
- Monitor maintenance KPIs and recommend improvements to increase uptime and reduce costs
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience as a Maintenance Supervisor or Maintenance Lead in an industrial manufacturing environment
- Experience supervising, coaching, and developing teams of 15-30 maintenance technicians
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting experience with industrial manufacturing equipment
- Experience managing preventive and predictive maintenance programs
- Working knowledge of CMMS software for maintenance planning and work order management
- Experience with employee coaching, disciplinary actions, performance management, and hiring
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced production environment and respond to equipment emergencies
Qualifications
Previous supervisory experience in an industrial manufacturing environment required. Union manufacturing experience is strongly preferred. Food, beverage, packaging, consumer products, or other high-speed manufacturing experience is a plus. Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), or Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) principles preferred. Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and interpersonal skills. Willingness to work off-shift hours and support emergency maintenance needs as required.

Pay
Target Pay Rate: $90,000 - $105,000/year + 10% Bonus
Schedule
Monday-Friday | 1:30pm-10:00pm | Rotating Weekends
