Maintenance Supervisor

What You’ll Do

• Plan, direct and supervise the maintenance program
• Orient, instruct, supervise and work alongside other maintenance personnel
• Assigns duties and evaluate work performance
• Requisition supplies and equipment for use in department activities
• Keep records of work performed and costs involved
• Cookordinate work of maintenance department with the mill
• Advise and consult with management on maintenance and repair needs
• Direct and/or perform duties concerned with maintenance of machinery
• Be responsible for the care and use of supplies and maintenance equipment used in performance of duties
• Able to keep adequate records
• Able to take emergency calls and be on call as needed
• Able to cooperate with other employees and customers
• Perform other duties as assigned

What You’ll Need

• A high school graduate or graduate of a technical school
• A minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience in maintenance
• A minimum of 2 years’ experience in electrical and mechanical troubleshooting as well as PLC experience
• Experience evaluating and training team members
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical manuals, mechanical and electrical drawings
• Ability to plan and carry out programs in repair or new construction and/or installation
• Ability to direct others
• Knowledge of record keeping and cost estimating
• Knowledge of supplies and equipment used by maintenance department and the care of this equipment
• Ability to deal tactfully and effectively with others
