Maintenance Supervisor

About the role

Sika Corporation is looking for an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to join its growing team in the Sealy, TX area for its roofing business. The maintenance supervisor will handle general facility maintenance and support the manufacturing process. This position reports to the Maintenance Manager.

Responsibilities

• Supervise shift maintenance staff including coaching, training, evaluation, and disciplinary functions.
• Manage payroll for all maintenance employees.
• Assist in managing outside contractors.
• Serve as a key member of a team responsible for ensuring efficient operation of production machinery.
• Coordinate all maintenance projects.
• Handle general facility maintenance.
• Perform general office and manufacturing maintenance.
• Perform lubrication / oil changing of heavy production machinery.
• Repair / replace bearings, gear-heads, belts, chains, conveyors, filters, etc.
• Modify existing structural components to comply with safety regulations and cost savings measures as required.

Qualifications

• Ability to team with production management to achieve common goals.
• Develop a strong team between maintenance/engineering and production.
• Excellent organizational capabilities with good record keeping skills.
• Basic knowledge of Windows Application Software.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment.
