Location: Canton, OH (AMG) - ASU
Responsibilities
- Meets maintenance operational standards by contributing maintenance information to strategic plans and reviews; implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving problems.
- Meets maintenance financial standards by providing annual budget information; monitoring expenditures; identifying variances; implementing corrective actions.
- Maintains function and reliability of facility systems and associated equipment by implementing a preventive maintenance program; operating and testing systems and equipment; restoring, repairing, rebuilding, or replacing faulty or inoperative components and parts.
- Validates required maintenance of instrumentation, electrical systems, compressors, pumps, turbines, valves, motors, and other plant equipment.
- Validates required maintenance of environmental, safety, quality assurance, and FDA compliance systems and programs including spare parts, preventive, predictive, and proactive maintenance.
- Validates required monitoring and process evaluation of a site facility including evaluation of current process conditions and implementation of plant loading plans; evaluates and implements continuous improvement opportunities and ideas.
- Evaluates functionality and reliability of facility systems and associated equipment by conferring with operating departments; identifying problems and requirements.
- Improves function and reliability of facility systems and associated equipment by studying performance results; identifying, recommending, and implementing changes, expansions, and additions.
- Maintains safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures; complying with legal codes and regulations.
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of three (3) years of Industrial experience.
- Prior experience with supervising a staff is preferred.
- Demonstrates advanced understanding of air separation and associated technologies.
- Demonstrates an understanding of electrical principles in practical situations involving the operation and repair of complex electrical devices.
- Basic skills in mechanical systems maintenance.
- Fundamental understanding of all applicable regulations, laws, certifications, and standards with a focus on achieving success in each discipline for a manufacturing environment.
- Familiar with modern maintenance programs, asset management systems, and principles.
- Well versed in problem analysis/decision-making process and identifying sound solutions.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
- Strong verbal and communication skills.
- Ability to write routine technical procedures and policies in English.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from employees and/or customers.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals using the English language.
Physical Demands
- Associates may be required to remain stationary for extended periods of time.
- Associates may occasionally be required to traverse through office and/or manufacturing locations.
- Associates will frequently be required to actively listen and exchange information.
- Associates will be required to observe and assess information received via computer.
- Requires use of computer, telephone, and operation of a motor vehicle.
Work Environment
- Must have reliable, appropriate transportation.
- Job may require visitation to various Airgas and customer sites, which have varying environments/conditions, layouts, and accessibility.
Pay
Pay Range: $40 - $50/hour
Annual Bonus: 5%
Schedule
Work Schedule: Mon – Fri (regular business hours)
Travel: 0-5%
