Responsibilities
- Lead and support all maintenance and automation activities for production lines during night shift operations.
- Supervise, train, and develop hourly maintenance and automation technicians.
- Provide hands-on troubleshooting and repair support for production equipment and automation systems.
- Rapidly respond to breakdowns and restore production flow to meet schedule demands.
- Execute and prioritize preventive maintenance, planned work, and emergency repairs.
- Partner with production leadership to support line performance, changeovers, and startups.
- Enforce all safety policies, including LOTO, PPE, and safe work practices.
- Ensure accurate documentation of maintenance activities, downtime, and work orders in systems.
- Drive continuous improvement focused on downtime reduction, reliability, and scrap reduction.
- Support automation systems including PLCs, sensors, drives, and instrumentation.
- Conduct routine inspections of production lines, facilities, and support equipment to identify and correct defects.
- Assign and monitor daily work activities, ensuring tasks are completed effectively and safely.
- Respond to and lead resolution of unplanned downtime and urgent maintenance issues.
- Perform and verify completion of preventive and predictive maintenance tasks.
- Document maintenance events, downtime causes, and corrective actions in tracking systems.
- Identify recurring failures and support root cause analysis and corrective actions.
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- 5+ years of prior manufacturing industry experience in electrical and mechanical maintenance.
- Strong troubleshooting skills in electrical and mechanical systems.
- Working knowledge of PLCs, automation systems, and industrial controls.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
- Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills.
- Ability to work hands-on in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and manage multiple priorities.
