Responsibilities

  • Lead and support all maintenance and automation activities for production lines during night shift operations.
  • Supervise, train, and develop hourly maintenance and automation technicians.
  • Provide hands-on troubleshooting and repair support for production equipment and automation systems.
  • Rapidly respond to breakdowns and restore production flow to meet schedule demands.
  • Execute and prioritize preventive maintenance, planned work, and emergency repairs.
  • Partner with production leadership to support line performance, changeovers, and startups.
  • Enforce all safety policies, including LOTO, PPE, and safe work practices.
  • Ensure accurate documentation of maintenance activities, downtime, and work orders in systems.
  • Drive continuous improvement focused on downtime reduction, reliability, and scrap reduction.
  • Support automation systems including PLCs, sensors, drives, and instrumentation.
  • Conduct routine inspections of production lines, facilities, and support equipment to identify and correct defects.
  • Assign and monitor daily work activities, ensuring tasks are completed effectively and safely.
  • Respond to and lead resolution of unplanned downtime and urgent maintenance issues.
  • Perform and verify completion of preventive and predictive maintenance tasks.
  • Document maintenance events, downtime causes, and corrective actions in tracking systems.
  • Identify recurring failures and support root cause analysis and corrective actions.

Qualifications

  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • 5+ years of prior manufacturing industry experience in electrical and mechanical maintenance.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills in electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Working knowledge of PLCs, automation systems, and industrial controls.
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
  • Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work hands-on in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and manage multiple priorities.
