Duties
- Maintain preventative maintenance programs
- Manage spare parts inventory
- Prioritize work of maintenance technicians
- Respond to emergency situations
- Perform work outside of normal plant operating hours
Requirements
- 5 years’ experience in a similar position
- Electrical and mechanical attestation/certificate
- Hands-on experience in trouble-shooting and repairing machinery (extruders, grinders, mixers, chillers, compressors, refrigeration and air conditioning system)
- Strong observation, problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to read and follow complex instruction manuals, blueprints, schematics and electrical diagrams
- Knowledge and understanding of PLC programming language and computer systems
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Ability to prioritize work, keeping in mind that modifications and repairs to existing equipment and the installation of new equipment must be done promptly to minimize production downtime
- Ability to train others in the safe and proper operation and maintenance of equipment relative to their position
- Ability to cope with stress and maintain a professional attitude while interacting with Protech employees and outside contractors
