About the role
The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for leading and managing a team dedicated to maintaining the optimal functionality of all equipment and facilities.
Responsibilities
- Manage and lead daily maintenance operations to ensure all equipment and facilities are functioning optimally.
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and prolong equipment life.
- Cook up and oversee the repair of equipment in a timely manner, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
- Conduct regular inspections to identify and resolve issues promptly.
- Optimize maintenance processes and implement innovative solutions to improve efficiency.
- Work collaboratively with other departments to support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure a personal and associate awareness of all quality and business-related operating systems (ISO/IATF).
Requirements
- Post secondary degree or diploma in a technical or engineering related field is preferred; a combination of education, training and years working experience will be considered.
- Skilled trade certification is required - a recognized provincial, state or federal license required.
- At least 5 years of experience in a maintenance role, with 2 years in a supervisory capacity.
- Proven knowledge of industrial equipment maintenance and repair processes.
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage a diverse team.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Effective communication and organizational skills to manage multiple priorities.
