This role primarily focuses on machine health and reliability, with an emphasis on maximizing machine uptime, building a robust Preventive Maintenance (PM) program, and driving continuous process improvement across our shop floor. The position operates on a day shift from 6:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
Responsibilities
- Maximize machine uptime and reliability by developing and continuously improving the Preventive Maintenance (PM) schedule for all CNC turning, milling, and multi-axis equipment.
- Serve as the first responder for machine downtime events; diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve or escalate issues with urgency.
- Coordinate with OEM service technicians and CNC repair vendors to minimize mean time to repair (MTTR).
- Track and analyze downtime trends; identify repeat failure patterns and implement corrective actions.
- Maintain spare parts inventory critical to machine uptime, including spindles, servo drives, and coolant components.
- Partner with operators and programmers to identify machine-related quality or performance issues before they become failures.
- Build, own, and continuously refine a structured PM program covering all production equipment.
- Schedule PM activities to minimize production impact, coordinating with the Manufacturing Manager and scheduling team.
- Manage PM documentation, checklists, and compliance records in our maintenance management system (CMMS).
- Identify and eliminate chronic sources of unplanned downtime through root-cause analysis and corrective action.
- Evaluate and recommend maintenance process improvements, tooling, or technology upgrades.
- Supervise and develop a team of CNC Machine Technicians, PM/Rigging Technicians, and Facilities Technicians.
- Oversee general facilities maintenance, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection.
- Manage vendor relationships for facilities services and maintain compliance documentation.
- Enforce and model safe work practices across all maintenance activities and ensure compliance with OSHA and company safety standards.
Requirements

Qualifications
- Experience in a made-to-print or high-mix, low-volume CNC shop.
- Experience in rigging, machine installation, or equipment relocation.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing or continuous improvement methodologies (5S, TPM, SMED).
- Associate degree or technical certification in electromechanical systems, industrial maintenance, or a related field.
Benefits
- Medical coverage (3 plan options), Dental, and Vision
- Company-paid Life Insurance and Disability Insurance (STD and LTD)
- 401(k) with company match
- Generous paid time off schedule
- Discretionary quarterly bonus program
Pay
The pay range for this position is $90,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year. Individual compensation offered within this range will depend on qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
Schedule
Day shift from 6:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
We also might include Job Type & Location as a short paragraph under maybe "Job Type & Location" but not in headings list? The instruction says use h3 for section headings (e.g. About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule). It doesn't forbid other headings but says "Usefor section headings (e.g. About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule)." It implies we should use those headings for sections; we could also add a heading for "Job Type & Location" if we want, but it's not in the list; maybe better to incorporate location into About the role or a short p. The location is Tualatin, OR. Could add a short p after About the role: "This is a permanent position based in Tualatin, OR." Or incorporate into About the role. We also have Workplace Type: fully onsite. Could incorporate. We need to avoid duplication: we already mention day shift in About the role; we also have Schedule section. That's okay. We need to ensure we don't include boilerplate like "About Aerotek", legal, EEO, etc. Check for duplicated lines: The responsibilities list includes many items; ensure we didn't duplicate. Check for any mention of "Direct Placement up to $120k+ with Amazing Benefits, Bonuses and Overtime Pay!" - we have Pay and Benefits sections covering that. Check for "Overtime Pay" not explicitly mentioned but we have benefits; we could mention overtime pay in Pay? Not in posting except in title. The title says "Direct Placement up to $120k+ with Amazing Benefits, Bonuses and Overtime Pay!" but the body didn't mention overtime pay explicitly. We should not invent detail. So we should not mention overtime pay unless it's in the posting. It's only in title; we are not to repeat job title as heading, but we could incorporate that info? The instruction: "Preserve ALL substantive information; do NOT invent or summarize away detail." The title is substantive? It says up to $120k+ with Amazing Benefits, Bonuses and Overtime Pay! However the body already mentions pay range up to $120k and benefits, bonuses. Overtime pay is not mentioned elsewhere. Should we include it? It's in the title, which is part of the posting. The instruction says do NOT repeat the job title as a heading (the page already shows it) and do NOT put Job ID / requisition numbers as headings — fold minor metadata into a short
or drop it. The title is not a heading; it's the job title. We are not to repeat the job title as a heading, but we could include the substance of the title in a paragraph? The title includes "Direct Placement up to $120k+ with Amazing Benefits, Bonuses and Overtime Pay!" The "Direct Placement" maybe refers to employment type. The body already says Permanent position. The "up to $120k+" matches pay range. "Amazing Benefits, Bonuses and Overtime Pay!" Benefits and bonuses are covered; overtime pay not elsewhere. Should we include overtime pay as a detail? It's only in title; maybe we should include it as part of Pay or Benefits? But we must not invent detail; we can include it if it's in the posting (title). Since we are not to repeat the job title as a heading
