About the Role

The purpose of this position is to supervise daily operations of Maintenance Leads and Technicians, working Monday through Friday from 6:00 pm to 2:00 am, with flexibility dictated by production needs.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement procedures and best practices to coordinate maintenance tasks from their origin with Planner/Scheduler through Work Leads and ultimately to Maintenance Techs.
  • Follow up with Work Leads and Techs to ensure tasks are completed in a timely and quality manner.
  • Identify and implement process and/or mechanical improvements to existing equipment.
  • Assist with the development of Preventive Maintenance (PM) processes and schedules.
  • Assist with the development of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Assist Maintenance technicians with larger scale repairs and rebuilds.
  • Establish training schedule/protocol for new maintenance employees.
  • Assist Maintenance Manager with recruitment of new employees.
  • Complete all assigned work orders completely and accurately document all prudent information describing the completion of the work order.
  • Ensure all preventive, corrective, and breakdown work is captured in the CMMS system to ensure accurate data is available for proper analysis of key metrics.
  • Monitor key performance metrics and formulate strategies to improve underperforming KPIs.
  • Install, replace, or change machine parts and attachments, according to specifications.
  • Maintain open, accurate communication with other maintenance employees as well as facility leadership.
  • Use prescribed protective safety equipment and perform all work in a safe manner.
  • Assist with building maintenance as needed.
  • Adhere to safe work practices, follow GMP and HACCP guidelines, maintain sanitary conditions, and ensure product quality is maintained.
  • Report to management any conditions or practices that may adversely affect food safety, food quality, or personnel safety.
  • Maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner that fosters good relationships with customers, clients, co-workers, and management.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience.
  • 2+ years apprenticeship or equivalent experience in the Electrical or Mechanical field.
  • 2+ years experience in Agricultural/Growing field.
  • Experience with automated conveyor systems and controls.
  • Ability to troubleshoot basic Input/Output functions.
  • Experience with robotic operation/maintenance.
  • Basic knowledge of plumbing.
  • Basic knowledge of pneumatics and air cylinders.
  • Basic understanding of 3-phase electricity.
  • Ability to maintain various pumps (positive pressure, centrifugal, etc.).
  • Working knowledge of motor controllers, low voltage electrical systems, proximity switches, photo-eyes, and variable frequency drives.
  • Basic understanding of schematics and blueprints.
  • Basic understanding of various diagnostic equipment including ohms meters, voltage meters, etc.
  • Thorough understanding and adherence to OSHA and Company regulations (LOTO, CSE, PPE, etc.).
  • Highly knowledgeable with hand and power tools.
  • Highly motivated, self-directed, innovative, and able to work independently or among teams with keen judgment, common sense, and resourcefulness.

Pay

$75-90K commensurate with experience plus bonus.
