Key Responsibilities
- Ensures the department is properly trained on how to execute work safely and drive improvements to eliminate any safety risks across the factory.
- Safeguards maintenance to support production of high-quality food products.
- Leverages team members to propose and execute work that assures compliance to specifications and increases consumer satisfaction.
- Understands, enforces, and complies with the site’s Environmental Policy.
- Owner for Maintenance programs such as Preventive Maintenance, Corrective Maintenance, Continuous Improvement, Predictive Maintenance, Equipment Overhauls, and Equipment Upgrades.
- Supervises, develops, trains, and certifies the site maintenance team, and provides technical services as needed.
- Coaches/mentors Maintenance Planners and Leads for the factory to ensure deep dives into breakdown elimination and support preventive maintenance planning.
- Maintains performance of PM compliance goals.
- Prioritizes work based on food safety and human safety.
- Provides coaching to areas on equipment reliability.
- Monitors cash flow per budget (MRO and labor), proposing capital projects where appropriate.
- Manages stockroom costs and best practices to site practices.
- Ensures critical spare parts and materials are available as needed.
- Supports Maintenance Leads in prioritizing work for execution.
- Pursues new technologies to improve operations on processing lines, packaging lines, and utilities equipment.
- Manages continuous cost reduction and process improvement ideas.
- Manages properly conservation systems (alarms, security, sprinklers, fire brigade, etc.).
- Complies with all federal, state, local, and company regulatory guidelines, ensuring compliance to PSM guidelines.
- Be a key member of a HAZMAT team.
- Ensures mechanics and maintenance leads have the proper tools (equipment, training, support, etc.) to support their areas.
Requirements
- A bachelor's degree is preferred.
- A major in Engineering is preferred.
- 3+ years of maintenance supervisor experience is required.
- Food industry experience is preferred.
- Knowledge of Packaging Lines and Dryers is preferred.
- Requires intermediate computer skills using Microsoft Office, SAP, and AutoCAD to present all documents related to any projects.
