Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct routine safety inspections, identify hazards, and implement corrective actions to maintain a safe work environment.
  • Supervise, mentor, and schedule maintenance tasks based on company priorities. Assign daily tasks and ensure work orders are completed safely and efficiently.
  • Develop, implement, and optimize a robust scheduled PM program for all production machinery and facility infrastructure to minimize unplanned downtime.
  • Lead advanced troubleshooting and root-cause analysis on complex production machinery.
  • Oversee the upkeep of physical plant infrastructure, including HVAC, plumbing, lighting, building envelopes, and utility systems.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for external contractors and vendors. Source, vet, schedule, and oversee their work to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
  • Scope out facility upgrades, machinery overhauls, and installations. Solicit and evaluate vendor quotes to ensure competitive pricing and accurate project timelines.
  • Justify and write formal capital approval requests for large scale projects, outlining ROI, budgetary impacts, and operational benefits.
  • Serve as a key member of the plant safety committee, supporting employee safety and OSHA compliance.

Technical Expertise

  • Electrical Systems: Strong proficiency in industrial electrical troubleshooting, including 480V 3-phase systems, control wiring, motor drives (VFDs), and reading electrical schematics. PLC troubleshooting experience is a major plus.
  • Machinery & Industrial Mechanics: Understanding of mechanical power transmission (gearboxes, pumps, conveyors, bearings, and alignments).
  • Welding & Fabrication: Proficient in welding (MIG) and torch cutting for equipment repair. Experience & Education: Associates degree or higher is preferred. Minimum of 5 years of industrial maintenance experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or lead technician role.
