Maintenance Supervisor

Description

Directs the activities of maintenance operations in a timely and efficient manner to support plant operations. Directs the work of group leaders, maintenance technicians and HVAC maintenance technicians within the department.

Responsibilities

• Maintain departmental 5-S for assigned areas and equipment.
• Complete required departmental paperwork.
• Have general knowledge of computer software and maintenance work order system.
• Supervise the activities of group leaders and maintenance technicians.
• Coordinate with other departments to provide services and follow up to assure completion.
• Maintain adherence to company policies, safety standards and good housekeeping practices.
• Ensure tools and equipment are properly maintained and all preventative maintenance is performed to assure efficient operations.
• Affirm efficient and economical utilization of materials, improve methods, and eliminate wasteful practices.
• Administer employee performance evaluations and recommendations of wage increases.
• Establish and maintain good employee relations and adhere to proper judicious disciplinary measures when required.
• Support the implementation, achievement, and maintenance of the Quality and Environmental Policies and Procedures.

Requirements

• High School graduate or GED with additional specialized education or training.
• Three to five years of supervisory related experience.
