About the role
Habitat America, LLC is seeking a skilled and experienced Maintenance Supervisor for Chapline House Apartments in Prince Frederick, Maryland. This position is responsible for all technical matters related to general apartment maintenance, including maintenance tickets, unit turnovers, and participation in the after-hours on-call rotation. The Maintenance Supervisor reports directly to the Community Manager.
Responsibilities
- Perform appliance repairs, general carpentry, basic plumbing, basic electrical work, drywall, and painting
- Oversee work performed by contractors
- Assist with unit turnovers
- Participate in the after-hours on-call rotation
- Maintain a pleasant and professional demeanor at all times
Requirements
- 3+ years of apartment maintenance experience or a similar role
- Energetic, self-motivated individual who can work independently and as part of a team
- Experience with appliance troubleshooting, drywall, and painting
- HVAC/CFC certification is preferred but not required
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license
- Extensive mobility and excellent physical condition
- Ability and willingness to work weekends and be part of an on-call rotation
