Maintenance Supervisor
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to day-to-day projects and LTP expectations through the leading and execution of maintenance projects, such as through troubleshooting, executing PM, corrective maintenance and assisting the Maintenance team.
- Lead, coach, and develop the Maintenance team, including providing feedback and conducting formal evaluations, to ensure employees have the right resource skills, competencies, and expertise to meet departments and agreed-upon objectives of the company.
- Completion of administrative duties within the department such as approving employee over-time, leading Dayforce updates, and ensuring vacation schedules are distributed and approved in a timely manner.
- Lead shift hand over meetings on a daily basis, providing project updates, assigning jobs, and communicate counter measures when applicable.
- Support Maintenance Cost Containment objectives by tracking labor OT.
- Conduct workplace inspections at the assigned company location regarding safety, GMP violations, production line and equipment issues.
Requirements
- Post-secondary education in Engineering or related field preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of prior maintenance supervisory experience in a production-manufacturing environment (within food services/baking a strong asset).
- Excellent problem solver with strong troubleshooting skills.
- Advanced working knowledge on mechanical/electrical systems and components.
- Working knowledge and experience on Automation; Industrial Process and Control system; PLC; Measuring Devices; Instrumentation; Robotic Application; Bulk Handling System.
- Working knowledge and experience on Facility Maintenance and Plant Equipment Planning, scheduling & assigning ability while well experienced in defining priorities, required skills & resources.
- Computer-savvy; holds practical knowledge on CMMS and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power point).
- Multitasked in a fast-paced environment with lots of changes in direction based on business requirement.
- Being an example for others; a Safety-Oriented Supervisor with a positive “can do attitude."
- Holding strong analytical, interpersonal, organizational and communication (verbal and written) skills.
Qualifications
