Responsibilities
- Schedule and manage maintenance tasks for our fleet of diesel garbage trucks during the 2nd shift to ensure all vehicles are ready for the next day’s routes.
- Keep detailed records of all maintenance activities, including repairs, services, and any parts replacements, using our maintenance management system.
- Act as the main contact for the 2nd shift maintenance team, providing clear instructions on priorities and ensuring effective communication between shifts.
- Monitor maintenance procedures to ensure all work complies with safety standards and environmental regulations, particularly related to diesel engines and emissions.
- Identify areas where maintenance processes can be improved to enhance vehicle performance and reduce downtime.
Requirements
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- 5+ years of experience in truck maintenance
- 2+ years in supervisory or leadership role
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and accounting software
