Maintenance Supervisor

Responsibilities

• Manages, supervises and executes maintenance as well as support activities.
• Manages the CMMS system by creating both emergency and preventative maintenance work orders, assigning work orders and following up to ensure completion.
• Supports site environmental conformance as well as hazardous material programs.
• Affords assistance in maintaining adequate inventories of tools, supplies and parts to accurately repair all equipment.
• Ensures machinery is inspected with respect to safety issues inclusive but not restricted to ground and trip hazards, non-functioning lights, broken pieces along with exposed wiring.
• Works closely with the Maintenance & Facilities Manager to plan and manage capex projects that improve plant performance and safety.
• Addresses maintenance issues in a timely way working with maintenance staff.
• Ensures department compliance to company safety and security standards, procedures and policies.
• Complies with all safety, DOT, HAZMAT and environmental policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• 1+ years supervisory experience in an industrial maintenance environment – preferably manufacturing
• Bachelor’s degree (preferred)
• Strong technical knowledge of systems (electrical, heating, HVAC, PLC etc.)
• Proficient MS Office suite of software (i.e. Word, Excel, Power Point. etc.)
• Ability to multi-task is critical for this position
• Excellent written, verbal & presentation communications skills
• Strong commitment and focus on safety
