Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Communicate with maintenance team before and after direct reports start and end their shift to maintain solid communication and next steps within the team.
- Plan team schedule for their direct areas of ownership.
- Perform monthly one on one communication meetings with direct reports.
- Forecast training to keep a safe, proactive and productive environment.
- Work directly with maintenance planner and parts room associates to make sure parts are ready in time for projects, work orders and emergency repairs.
- Actively collaborate with all plant managers and supervisors.
- Schedule and conduct preventive maintenance.
- Generate and complete work orders as assigned.
- Install new equipment and rebuild and fabricate parts.
- Manage parts inventory to ensure adequate inventory.
- Schedule and conduct production line set-ups.
- Maintain clean and safe work area at all times.
Job Requirements
- A high school diploma, GED or equivalent required.
- A bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field preferred.
- Two plus years of industrial and/or manufacturing maintenance leadership preferred.
- Five years of industrial maintenance experience required.
- Knowledge of Programmable Logic Controls (PLCs) preferred.
- Demonstrated mechanical, technical and electrical aptitude.
- Strong analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with computer applications.
- Must be able to work nights, weekends or other irregular hours as required.
- Standing for up to 7 hours in one shift.
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment that requires lifting, pushing, or pulling 50 lbs often.
