Job Summary
Cardinal Ritter Senior Services, a ministry of Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of St. Louis, is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to oversee the maintenance of properties through daily inspections, repairs, and upkeep.
Overview and Responsibilities
- **Daily Inspections**: Conduct daily inspections of buildings and grounds, both inside and out, to identify repair needs and ensure cleanliness.
- **Repairs and Maintenance**: Perform various tasks such as apartment turnovers, painting, drywall repairs, electrical repairs, plumbing, carpentry, and HVAC unit inspection and cleaning.
- **Work Order Management**: Keep records of all work orders and assist in managing contractor oversight.
- **Safety and Security**: Ensure walkways and drives are clear of debris and assist with snow removal and de-icing. Respond to requests from management and emergencies.
- **Inventory Management**: Maintain inventory of tools and equipment and track ordered items.
Knowledge and Experience Requirements
- **Experience**: 3–5 years of experience in skilled trades, including plumbing, electrical, painting, and carpentry.
- **Certifications**: Must be willing to obtain a refrigerant recovery certification.
Skills and Competencies Required
- **Inspection Skills**: Conduct daily inspections.
- **Emergency Procedures**: Knowledgeable of emergency procedures.
- **Work Order Submission**: Accurately and timely submit work orders.
- **Inventory Management**: Maintain shop inventory.
- **Teamwork and Prioritization**: Demonstrate respect for clients, willingness to work as part of a team, and ability to prioritize tasks.
- **Physical Abilities**: Must be able to lift 80 lbs.

- **Tools and Equipment**: Responsible for maintaining and ensuring the proper functioning of tools and equipment owned by the site.

Pre-Employment Screening
All candidates must complete a pre-employment screening which includes a criminal background check, family care safety registration, drug screen, employment and education verification, and Covid-19 and influenza vaccination.
