Maintenance Supervisor

About the role

We're seeking a skilled Maintenance Supervisor to oversee the day-to-day maintenance operations and ensure compliance with Avenue5 policies and regulations. Key responsibilities include managing the maintenance team, responding to maintenance issues, and adhering to the company's risk management program.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with Avenue5 policies and local, state, and federal regulations.
• Manage the maintenance team to meet daily tasks and service request standards.
• Review and track maintenance progress and address chronic issues.
• Perform various maintenance tasks including electrical, plumbing, carpentry, HVAC, and grounds maintenance.
• Oversee property emergencies and assist with management of maintenance issues.
• Maintain safety and cleanliness standards during daily inspections.
• Communicate with property manager and supervisor regarding maintenance issues.
• Maintain a professional demeanor and appearance.
• Complete special projects as assigned.
• Solicit and monitor suppliers and contractors.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least three years of experience in property management or related field.
• General maintenance and carpentry skills.
• A valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and current auto insurance.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical functions.
• Ability to cope with and defuse difficult situations.
• Professional appearance and uniform compliance.
• Completion of Avenue5 Fair Housing, Diversity and Inclusion Training within 30 days of employment.
