About the role

We're seeking a skilled Maintenance Supervisor to lead the day-to-day maintenance operations and ensure compliance with Avenue5 policies and regulations. Key responsibilities include managing the maintenance team, responding to maintenance issues, and overseeing property emergencies.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with Avenue5 policies and standards, and adhere to local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Manage the maintenance team, including daily tasks and service request tracking.
  • Perform various maintenance tasks, including electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and HVAC repairs.
  • Oversee property emergencies and interact with residents and other properties.
  • Maintain property cleanliness and safety standards, and conduct inspections.
  • Communicate with property manager and address maintenance issues promptly.
  • Maintain a professional demeanor and appearance, and participate in on-call rotations.
  • Administer the company risk management program and complete special projects.
  • Solicit and monitor suppliers and contractors.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least three years of experience in property management or a related field.
  • General maintenance and carpentry skills.
  • A valid driver's license, clean driving record, and current auto insurance.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to read, write, and understand English.
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to use general office equipment and perform basic mathematical functions.
  • Ability to cope with and defuse difficult situations.
  • Professional appearance and adherence to uniform policy.
  • Compliance with safety requirements and successful completion of Fair Housing, Diversity, and Inclusion Training.

Skills

  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Experience with property management software and systems.

Pay

$30 to $34 per hour.

Schedule
