Maintenance Supervisor

About the role

We're seeking a skilled Maintenance Supervisor to oversee the day-to-day maintenance operations and ensure compliance with Avenue5 policies and regulations. Key responsibilities include managing the maintenance team, responding to maintenance issues, and adhering to the property budget.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with Avenue5 policies and local, state, and federal regulations
• Respond to maintenance-related issues promptly and professionally
• Perform various maintenance tasks including electrical, plumbing, carpentry, HVAC, and grounds maintenance
• Oversee and assist with property emergencies
• Maintain safety and cleanliness standards
• Communicate with property manager and maintenance supervisor regarding maintenance issues
• Conduct pre-move-in and post-move-out inspections
• Mentor the maintenance team
• Administer the company risk management program
• Complete special projects as assigned

Requirements

• At least three years of experience in property management or related field
• High school diploma or equivalent
• General maintenance and carpentry skills
• A valid driver's license, clean driving record, and current auto insurance
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Ability to perform basic mathematical functions
• Ability to cope with and defuse difficult situations
• Professional appearance and adherence to uniform policy
• Compliance with safety requirements
• Completion of Avenue5 Fair Housing, Diversity and Inclusion Training within 30 days of employment
