Maintenance Supervisor
About the role
We're seeking a skilled Maintenance Supervisor to lead the day-to-day maintenance operations and ensure compliance with Avenue5 policies and regulations. Key responsibilities include managing the maintenance team, responding to issues promptly, and overseeing property emergencies.
Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with company risk management program
- Contribute to property budget adherence
- Manage daily maintenance tasks and service requests
- Review and track maintenance progress
- Perform various maintenance functions including repairs and carpentry
- Oversee property emergencies and respond to maintenance issues
- Maintain property grounds, buildings, and common areas
- Communicate with property manager and maintenance supervisor
- Mentor the maintenance team
- Administer company risk management program
- Complete special projects as assigned
- Solicit and monitor suppliers and contractors
- Collaborate with property leadership
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least three years of experience in property management or related field
- General maintenance and carpentry skills
- Valid driver's license, clean record, and current auto insurance
- EPA and CPO certification
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to perform basic math and handle confidential information
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
- Professional appearance and uniform compliance
- Completion of Avenue5 Fair Housing, Diversity and Inclusion Training

Qualifications
Must maintain a valid driver's license, clean driving record, and current auto insurance. Must have EPA and CPO certifications. Must be able to read, write, and understand English. Must use general office equipment and possess strong organizational and time-management skills. Must be able to cope with and defuse situations involving angry or difficult people. Must maintain professional appearance and comply with prescribed uniform policy. Must comply with all safety requirements. Must complete and successfully pass the Avenue5 Fair Housing, Diversity and Inclusion Training within the first 30 days of employment.
