Maintenance Supervisor

About the role

Meyer Utility Structures is searching for a Maintenance Supervisor to lead and support the Clinton, IL utility pole manufacturing plant.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of maintenance technicians in ensuring all scheduled preventative maintenance and unscheduled work orders are completed correctly and efficiently
• Teach, train, coach and lead our maintenance technicians in the achievement of all required tasks
• Help determine causes of and solutions for operating problems in manufacturing machinery, electrical systems/components, plumbing systems, HVAC, carpentry, electrical fixtures/switches/power sources, and mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment
• Use blueprints, schematics, small/power tools, and electronic test equipment to perform a variety of maintenance tasks
• Lay out, build, test, troubleshoot, repair, and modify production electronic components, parts, switch panels, electronic equipment, and systems
• Wiring and programming of electronics and control boxes with PLC and CNC programming
• Make electronic, mechanical, or electrical repairs on all computer-controlled equipment
• May be required to perform Equipment Technician work as needed
• Follow all safety rules and practices
• May be involved in safety committees or initiatives

Qualifications

Successful supervisory maintenance experience in a manufacturing or related environment

A safety-first, proactive approach to equipment and facility maintenance

A high level of understanding and experience diagnosing and correcting issues with PLC, CNC or VFD programming

Ability to read and troubleshoot PLC programming

Ability to read blueprints and schematics

Pay

Salary Range with required certifications $75,000 to $95,000
