Responsibilities
- Interviews, trains, and directs employees.
- Plans, assigns, and directs work to meet production schedules.
- Suggests changes to improve efficiency and implements Total Productive Maintenance ("TPM").
- Resolves work problems and assists workers in solving issues.
- Provides 24/7 support to staff and Engineering.
- Coordinates with outside contractors.
- Completes site preparation for new equipment and creates new PMs.
- Creates work orders and assigns them to technicians.
- Runs downtime reports.
- Supports plant safety efforts through participation in safety meetings, safety walks, and safety committees.
- Engages in safe practices and follows/enforces safety rules and job rotations.
- Assists in achieving safety goals and maintaining Safe Workplace and Environmental and Sustainability objectives.
- Reports unsafe conditions/behaviors and participates in safety/ergonomic committees, safety Kaizen events, safety audits, and safety observation feedback events.
- Initiates timely investigations of incidents/accidents, completes 8D reports, identifies root causes, and documents findings.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in a Technical field preferred or equivalent additional experience.
- 5+ years of manufacturing maintenance experience, including 3+ years of supervisor/leadership experience.
- Preferred experience with SAP or equivalent ERP systems and CMMS maintenance software.
- Knowledge in electrical trouble-shooting, especially with Allen Bradley PLC programming.
