Position Summary

The Airport Facility Maintenance Supervisor at ABM is responsible for leading, coordinating, and supervising a team of maintenance technicians to ensure airport facilities are maintained in a safe, efficient, and customer-focused manner. This role oversees daily maintenance operations, ensures compliance with ABM standards and airport regulations, and serves as a primary point of contact for client communication and service delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for airport clients, tenants, airlines, and airport operations staff.

  • Communicate service expectations, maintenance schedules, and work status to clients in a professional manner.

  • Address and resolve client concerns, service issues, and escalations in a timely manner.

  • Ensure service delivery meets contractual obligations, service level agreements (SLAs), and ABM performance standards.

  • Represent ABM professionally in meetings, walkthroughs, and client interactions.

  • Conduct safety meetings, toolbox talks, and job hazard assessments.

  • Maintain accurate documentation, work orders, reports, and incident records using ABM systems.

  • Identify maintenance trends, risks, and improvement opportunities and report to management.

Qualifications

  • A high school diploma or equivalent required; technical or trade certification preferred.

  • Minimum of 3–5 years of facility or building maintenance experience, including supervisory or lead experience.

  • Strong working knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general building systems.

  • Proven ability to lead teams in a fast-paced, high-security environment.

  • Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, work orders, and safety procedures.

  • Valid driver’s license and ability to obtain airport security clearance and airfield access.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces.

  • Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.

  • Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, holidays, and on-call rotations.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior supervisory experience in an airport or large commercial facility.

  • Experience working in a union environment (if applicable).

  • Familiarity with CMMS and reporting systems.

  • EPA Universal Certification or other trade-related licenses.
