Maintenance Supervisor
Position Summary
The Airport Facility Maintenance Supervisor at ABM is responsible for leading, coordinating, and supervising a team of maintenance technicians to ensure airport facilities are maintained in a safe, efficient, and customer-focused manner. This role oversees daily maintenance operations, ensures compliance with ABM standards and airport regulations, and serves as a primary point of contact for client communication and service delivery.
Responsibilities
Serve as a primary point of contact for airport clients, tenants, airlines, and airport operations staff.
Communicate service expectations, maintenance schedules, and work status to clients in a professional manner.
Address and resolve client concerns, service issues, and escalations in a timely manner.
Ensure service delivery meets contractual obligations, service level agreements (SLAs), and ABM performance standards.
Represent ABM professionally in meetings, walkthroughs, and client interactions.
Conduct safety meetings, toolbox talks, and job hazard assessments.
Maintain accurate documentation, work orders, reports, and incident records using ABM systems.
Identify maintenance trends, risks, and improvement opportunities and report to management.
Qualifications
A high school diploma or equivalent required; technical or trade certification preferred.
Minimum of 3–5 years of facility or building maintenance experience, including supervisory or lead experience.
Strong working knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general building systems.
Proven ability to lead teams in a fast-paced, high-security environment.
Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, work orders, and safety procedures.
Valid driver’s license and ability to obtain airport security clearance and airfield access.
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces.
Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, holidays, and on-call rotations.
Preferred Qualifications
Prior supervisory experience in an airport or large commercial facility.
Experience working in a union environment (if applicable).
Familiarity with CMMS and reporting systems.
EPA Universal Certification or other trade-related licenses.
