Maintenance Supervisor (Assisted Living)

About the role

As the Maintenance Supervisor at Miller’s, you are responsible for the general upkeep of the physical plant, its property and grounds. You play a key role in patient and visitor safety, comfort, and satisfaction. You oversee the Maintenance staff and adhere to all State and Federal regulations and company policies regarding safety, infection control, and other applicable standards. You are responsive to requests from other departments, patients, their families, and staff, prioritizing and maintaining a task list.

Responsibilities

• Oversee general upkeep of the physical plant, property, and grounds
• Ensure patient and visitor safety, comfort, and satisfaction
• Supervise Maintenance staff
• Adhere to State and Federal regulations and company policies (safety, infection control, etc.)
• Respond to requests from departments, patients, families, and staff
• Prioritize tasks and maintain a task list
• Teach and mentor others in basic skills and policies

Requirements

• Understanding of electrical, plumbing, heating, and general maintenance
• Willingness to learn, follow, and teach required safety standards
• Supervisory experience and ability to lead a small team
• Good communication skills
• Passion for delivering great customer service
• Professional and appropriate appearance and behavior
• Ability to follow written and/or verbal instructions
• Successfully complete pre-employment process and screening
• Able to pass a physical examination for employment
• Satisfactorily complete required orientation and training

Qualifications

Prior supervisory experience preferred.

Exposure Category II: Tasks that involve no exposure to blood, body fluids, or tissues, but employment may require unplanned Category I tasks.

Pay

$20-$23.00/hr

Schedule

Full Time (35-40 hours/week)
