About the role

The Maintenance Supervisor will supervise employees and lead daily production operations and coordination activities of work teams. This role works closely with other team leaders to provide resources, ongoing work direction, decision-making, and problem-solving to ensure the safe delivery of a quality product on time to internal and external customers. Responsibilities include achieving safety excellence, supervising and assigning maintenance personnel, scheduling preventive maintenance, troubleshooting machine breakdowns, allocating resources, and communicating uptime expectations with the plant management team.

This is an on-site role (5 days) located in La Crosse, WI.

Responsibilities

• Execute the daily production schedule through the utilization of people, material, machines, and processes to meet customer requirements, schedule compliance, and cost objectives.
• Collaborate with other team leaders and employees to ensure production processes support the production plan and customer requirements.
• Ensure appropriate quality checks, preventive maintenance (PMs), and audits are performed by operators to provide product and process quality.
• Oversee employee job training, performance, wage and contract administration, discipline, policies and procedures, attendance and vacation schedules, labor reporting, and inventory accuracy.
• Develop and implement improvements in throughput, cycle time, and inventory reduction.
• Coordinate process problems involving deviation from standard conditions.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in a maintenance role in manufacturing.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred; candidates without a 4-year degree are encouraged to apply if they have practical experience, relevant skills, and alignment with leadership principles.
• Previous experience in a team leadership role strongly preferred.
• Excellent verbal communication skills for interacting with all levels of the organization.
• Understanding of Lean Principles and/or Six Sigma application and usage.

Pay

Annual base salary range: $65,200.00 – $93,660.00 (salaried position). Incentive and sales commission eligibility: No.

Note: Actual compensation will depend on factors such as seniority, merit, geographic location, education, experience, travel requirements, and union designation.
