Job Summary
Under the direction of the Facilities & Maintenance Manager, the Maintenance Supervisor oversees maintenance tasks, supervises staff, and ensures compliance with company policies and certifications.
About the Role
This role requires expertise in preventive and predictive maintenance, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical repairs, and knowledge of HT's operating budgeting practices, lockout/tag out program, and quality and environmental systems.
Responsibilities
- Ensure proper preventive and predictive maintenance on specified equipment.
- Supervise and develop Maintenance Technicians through hiring, training, and safety awareness.
- Maintain appropriate staffing levels and ensure compliance with health, safety, and regulatory programs.
- Monitor machine/equipment repair records and inventory management.
- Work with repair vendors, manage invoices, and assist in project completion.
- Complete audits and ensure proper Lock Out/Tag Out and hazardous communications procedures.
- Perform forklift certification and monitor chemical approvals.
- Attend relevant classes and seminars.
- Provide recommendations for systems improvements and support certification compliance.
Requirements
- Associate degree and/or 7 years of experience in a technical maintenance leadership role.
- Basic to advanced PC skills, including proficiency in software like PeopleSoft and CMMS.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to lead and motivate people.
- Self-motivation and decision-making abilities.
- Interpersonal skills to collaborate with other departments.
- Valid driver's license, insurance, and acceptable driving record.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of HT's preventive and predictive maintenance practices.
- Understanding of electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical repairs.
- Experience with HT's operating budgeting practices.
- Expertise in HT's lockout/tag out program.
- Skills in writing reports and procedures.
- Knowledge of HT's QS9000/IATF16949 quality systems.
- Knowledge of HT's ISO14001 environmental system.
- Experience with the corrective action process.
Skills
