Maintenance Supervisor - 2nd Shift
About the role
Review work requests and respond or assign to your team to ensure projects are completed within deadlines
Provide coaching, feedback, and development to team members to create an environment that promotes growth and safety. This includes performance evaluations, recognition, and disciplinary action.
Identify and diagnose problems and recommend solutions for all equipment, building, and system failures, including automation and robotic equipment
Make recommendations to improve performance, efficiencies, and safety of Operational Equipment such as conveyors, power industrial equipment, goods to person
Analyze preventive and predictive maintenance programs for effectiveness or safety and develop programs where none exist.
Use the Computerized Maintenance Management Software (CMMS) to create preventative maintenance schedules and work assignments to repair, replace, or remove equipment, fixtures, or furniture.
Partner with Operations and other departments within Grainger and with vendors, suppliers, and contractors to limit impact on operations.

Requirements
- 5+ years experience in large warehouse or distribution center maintenance operations
- Experience leading a team of maintenance technicians
- Experience maintaining building management systems and automated material handling equipment such as I/O device network systems (e.g. Profibus/CanBus/Ethernet, Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC), Motor controls/Drives, and Power Distribution Systems)
- Knowledge of Fire Protection systems, Electrical controls and distribution
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license
Skills
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

Pay
The anticipated base pay compensation range for this position is $80,700.00 – $134,500.00. This role is eligible for an incentive target of up to 10 % or $ , based on the achievement of individual and company performance objectives in accordance with the current terms of the incentive program which are subject to change.
