Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for initial screening of incoming work orders, identification of scope, and analysis of required level of planning.
  • Captures maintenance activities with appropriate departments to plan and schedule required repairs and p.m.’s utilizing available time and personnel.
  • Procures equipment and specialized tools required to perform work.
  • Communicates with contractors directly on outsourced work and the performance expectations of that work.
  • Works with vendors to identify replacement components and new technology to improve productivity and throughput.
  • Maintains function and reliability of facility systems and associated equipment by the PM program; testing systems and equipment, restoring, repairing, rebuilding, or replacing faulty components and parts.
  • Affords assistance in all items associated with the quality, production, safety and DOS programs.
  • Maintains high standards for housekeeping, safety, and general maintenance.
  • Maintains daily timekeeping, work orders, and all records in regards to the maintenance program.
  • Ensures all equipment is in safe working order.
  • Maintains a safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures; complying with local and federal codes and regulations.
  • Supervises employees within your department
  • Other duties as assigned by Management

Education and Qualifications

  • 5+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Prior supervision or leadership experience
  • In-depth knowledge of Total Productive Maintenance, continuous improvement, predictive/preventive maintenance programs, and proven effectiveness in MTTF/MTBF reductions.
  • Technical experience of Journeymen level.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Proven ability to appropriately assess and manage risk factors.
  • Self-motivated, effective oral and written communication and presentation skills, along with good organizational skills.
  • Able to work off shift and work overtime and weekends as required.
  • Excellent attendance record.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen and Kanban.
  • Ability to lead projects.
  • Must be a US Citizen, or a legal alien.
  • Must be 18 years of age, or older.
  • Must meet the physical requirements for this position.
  • Must be able to pass Drug Test & Pre-Employment verifications.
