Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Responsible for initial screening of incoming work orders, identification of scope, and analysis of required level of planning.
- Captures maintenance activities with appropriate departments to plan and schedule required repairs and p.m.’s utilizing available time and personnel.
- Procures equipment and specialized tools required to perform work.
- Communicates with contractors directly on outsourced work and the performance expectations of that work.
- Works with vendors to identify replacement components and new technology to improve productivity and throughput.
- Maintains function and reliability of facility systems and associated equipment by the PM program; testing systems and equipment, restoring, repairing, rebuilding, or replacing faulty components and parts.
- Affords assistance in all items associated with the quality, production, safety and DOS programs.
- Maintains high standards for housekeeping, safety, and general maintenance.
- Maintains daily timekeeping, work orders, and all records in regards to the maintenance program.
- Ensures all equipment is in safe working order.
- Maintains a safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures; complying with local and federal codes and regulations.
- Supervises employees within your department
- Other duties as assigned by Management
Education and Qualifications
- 5+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
- Prior supervision or leadership experience
- In-depth knowledge of Total Productive Maintenance, continuous improvement, predictive/preventive maintenance programs, and proven effectiveness in MTTF/MTBF reductions.
- Technical experience of Journeymen level.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Proven ability to appropriately assess and manage risk factors.
- Self-motivated, effective oral and written communication and presentation skills, along with good organizational skills.
- Able to work off shift and work overtime and weekends as required.
- Excellent attendance record.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen and Kanban.
- Ability to lead projects.
- Must be a US Citizen, or a legal alien.
- Must be 18 years of age, or older.
- Must meet the physical requirements for this position.
- Must be able to pass Drug Test & Pre-Employment verifications.
