About the role
High Point & Affiliated Organizations is a health and human service agency committed to treating and preventing substance use disorders and mental illness. We offer a range of programs across Southeastern Massachusetts, including inpatient, outpatient, residential, and community-based services. The Maintenance Staff plays a crucial role in ensuring the safety and cleanliness of our facilities.
Qualifications
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
- Valid MA Driver's License
- Possess knowledge and skills needed to provide maintenance
Pay and Schedule
Pay Range: $22-27/hr depending on experience
Shift: Full Time, 8am-4:30pm Sunday to Thursday
Ability to travel between Plymouth locations
Requirements
- Present as courteous and professional at all times
- Demonstrated flexibility and ability to perform multiple tasks
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient in basic computer skills and software programs
- Able to work cooperatively with others
- Understanding of substance use and mental health issues
- Compliance with Federal Regulations, 42 CFR Part 2, Substance Abuse Confidentiality Regulations and HIPAA Regulations
- Certification in the HPAO approved de-escalation program
Duties & Responsibilities
- Adhere to HPAO policies and procedures
- Conduct daily facility walk-throughs
- Respond to all maintenance requests
- Maintain the facility building, grounds, and amenities in safe and attractive conditions
- Perform minor electric, plumbing, HVAC, and building repairs
- Patch and paint the facility as directed
- Perform routine preventative maintenance on maintenance, lawn care, housekeeping, floor care equipment, refrigeration units, and other electrical appliances
- Perform minor door alarm and lockset repairs
- Attend all mandatory trainings and meetings
- Ensure accurate and current departmental documentation
- Conduct weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual inspections
- Other duties as assigned by the Director of Environmental Services or Site Director
Qualifications
- High school diploma/GED or equivalent experience
- Must be 18 years of age
- License and vehicle required
- Able to travel to outpatient and respond to emergency on-call
- General knowledge of basic HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical, Construction, Landscaping, Painting
