High Point & Affiliated Organizations is a health and human service agency dedicated to treating and preventing substance use disorders and mental illness. We offer a range of programs across Southeastern Massachusetts, including inpatient, outpatient, residential, and community-based services. Our mission is to help individuals and families achieve personal change and improve their quality of life.

Qualifications

  • Ability to lift 50 lbs
  • Valid MA Driver's License
  • Knowledge and skills needed to provide maintenance

Pay Range

$22-27/hr depending on experience

Shift

Full Time, Monday-Friday, 8am-4:30pm; Weekends as needed

Requirements

  • Present as courteous and professional at all times
  • Demonstrate flexibility and ability to perform multiple tasks
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient in basic computer skills and software programs
  • Understand the relationship between substance use and mental health issues
  • Understand boundaries and ethics
  • Comply with Federal Regulations, 42 CFR Part 2, Substance Abuse Confidentiality Regulations and HIPAA Regulations
  • Certification in the HPAO approved de-escalation program

Responsibilities

  • Adhere to HPAO policies and procedures
  • Conduct daily facility walk-throughs
  • Respond to all maintenance requests
  • Maintain the facility building, grounds and amenities in safe and attractive conditions
  • Perform minor electric, plumbing, HVAC and building repairs
  • Patch and paint the facility as directed
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance on all maintenance, lawn care, housekeeping, floor care equipment, refrigeration units and other electrical appliances
  • Perform minor door alarm and lockset repairs
  • Conduct all delegated scheduled tests and inspections
  • Attend all mandatory trainings and meetings
  • Ensure that all departmental operations are conducted in a professional and productive manner
  • Conduct weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual inspections
  • Ensure that all departmental documentation is accurate and current
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Environmental Services or Site Director

Qualifications

  • High school diploma/GED or equivalent experience
  • Must be 18 years of age
  • License and vehicle required
  • General knowledge of basic HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical, Construction, Landscaping, Painting
