About the role

The Maintenance Specialist plays a crucial role in ensuring the venue functions optimally before, during, and after events. They are responsible for a variety of maintenance tasks including painting, plumbing, electrical, and HVAC work. Additionally, they assist in managing the facility's equipment and systems, and coordinate with external vendors.

Responsibilities

  • Perform daily, event, and regular cleaning and maintenance tasks.
  • Maintain all facility equipment in good working condition.
  • Inspect systems for malfunctions and implement solutions for repairs.
  • Develop standard procedures for maintaining venue cleanliness and assets.
  • Aid in purchasing necessary work materials.
  • Schedule and supervise part-time cleaners based on the event schedule.
  • Coordinate with vendors for repair, maintenance, and production advancements.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 0-2 years of related work experience.
  • Previous supervision experience.
  • Experience in cleaning solutions and repair/maintenance.
  • Basic computer skills preferred.
  • Immediate knowledge of electrical and plumbing systems (National Electrical Code a plus).
  • Able to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to climb, crawl, bend, and stoop with or without reasonable accommodation.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.

Payscale

$25 - $30 per hour

Benefits

This position is not eligible for a bonus under the current bonus plan requirements. Part-time employees may be eligible for benefits (ACA qualification).
