Location: ANG Civil Engineering, 2445 West Furnas Ave, Lincoln, NE

Responsibilities

  • Performs skilled painting, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and welding work in the major renovation and construction of building structures, including maintenance and repairs.
  • Constructs, maintains, and repairs concrete and other foundations, as well as interior and exterior walls and ceilings.
  • Installs, replaces, repairs, and rebuilds locks, electronic/electrical locks, security devices, and other hardware to ensure building and property security.
  • Inspects and audits work areas and facilities for safety hazards.
  • Performs skilled work in operating and maintaining building control systems.
  • Schedules and performs specialized preventative maintenance and repairs for equipment systems.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree or equivalent vocational education in construction, industrial engineering, HVAC, welding, or other building trade.
  • Experience in building maintenance, a mechanical trade, or performing safety inspections, investigations, or training may substitute for education on a year-for-year basis.
  • Background and motor vehicle check required.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.

Skills

  • Knowledge of standard use, maintenance, groundskeeping, safety practices for hand tools, power tools, and light to heavy machinery.
  • Knowledge of fire codes and fire prevention regulations and procedures.
  • Skill in the use of hand tools, power tools, and building maintenance equipment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, follow instructions, read and comprehend blueprints, reference books, and equipment manuals.

Pay

Starting hourly pay rate is $22.327.
