Maintenance Specialist (F/M/X)
About the role
The Maintenance Team, consisting of 4 individuals, focuses on ensuring equipment uptime in conjunction with operations. As a Maintenance Specialist, you will perform frontline maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting of plant equipment to support both mechanical and electrical repairs. Your contributions will positively impact the maintenance of plant equipment and production lines.
- Execute routine mechanical repairs and equipment lubrication: Maintenance of pumps, gearboxes, and conveyor systems; ability to identify mechanical wear (e.g., bearing wear).
- Fluid Handling: Experience with valves, piping, and slurry transfer systems; understanding of the impact of abrasive materials on equipment.
- Basic Electrical: Basic wiring, motor replacement, and use of a multimeter for continuity testing.
- Aid instrumentation and electrical specialists in the installation and termination of field instruments (flow meters, pressure transmitters).
- Maintain accurate inventory records; verify physical spare part availability against SAP data.
- Support site safety by conducting interlock testing and following LOTO (Lockout/Tagout) procedures.
About you
We are seeking a full-time, on-site position. Required qualifications include a High School Diploma or equivalent, with a Technical School certification in Industrial Maintenance or Electrical being a plus. At least 3–5 years of relevant industrial maintenance experience in a chemical or heavy industrial environment is preferred.
- Selection of appropriate tools and materials for standard repairs.
- Ability to determine "Fix vs. Replace" for minor mechanical components.
- Ability to prioritize daily work orders based on production impact and safety risk.
- SAP knowledge is a plus.

About the pay
We offer an attractive and equitable pay structure for all roles. Compensation is determined within a range to foster your development in the role. The base pay for this role is $35.97 per hour, which will increase to $43.81 over the first 12 months of employment.
