Maintenance Shop Foreman

About the role

R+L Carriers is seeking a Maintenance Shop Foreman for their Lumberton, NC Service Center. The position is full-time, Monday through Friday, with various shifts available.

Responsibilities

• Performs preventative and day-to-day maintenance and repair on heavy-duty tractors and forklifts.
• Performs day-to-day administrative duties.
• Performs all repairs and major repairs on trucks and forklifts.
• Truck, forklift, and dry van trailer experience required.
• Experience with air brakes, clutches, electrical repairs, PM’s, lift-gates, overhead door repair, etc.
• Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in the maintenance and repair of tractor/trailers (air brakes, clutches, diesel engines, lights and electrical repairs).
• Mechanic experience preferred.
• Manager experience preferred.

Requirements

• Must have own tools.

Qualifications

Must have a valid driver’s license and a good driving record.

Skills

Strong mechanical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team are essential.
