About the role
Primary in-depth knowledge of multi-craft maintenance (mechanical and electrical).
Working 12-hour shift rotation position.
Responsibilities
- Uses the SAP Computer System.
- Plans, orders materials and schedules.
- Immersed in Allen-Bradley process control systems.
- Writes basic PLC code.
- Troubleshoots PLC code and control network infrastructure.
- Completes activities under the mechanical, electrical and instrumentation sections.
- Mechanical: Troubleshoots and repairs pneumatic systems; dowtherm boilers; hydraulic systems; operates, troubleshoots and repairs forklifts; reads and understands blueprints; performs precision alignment tasks; performs basic millwright tasks.
- Electrical: Reads and interprets electrical electronic schematics, wiring diagrams, instruments loop sheets and technical manuals; installs and maintains complex electrical, electronic and pneumatic measurements and control systems; troubleshoots and repairs variable speed motor drive systems; reads and follows practices set forth in the National Electrical Code; selects and uses all standard electrical/electronic and instrumentation test equipment; troubleshoots and maintains power distribution system; calibrates critical Spunbond process measuring equipment.
- Instrumentation (secondary): Installs and fabricates instrument components; modifies control loops, movement and replacement of instruments, and addition and deletions to the systems; troubleshoots, repairs and maintains instrumentation system and components, including control valve system; maintains charts/log and records; follows area housekeeping and safety rules.
- Physical Skills: Frequent lifting and moving up to 25 pounds; occasional lifting or moving more than 100 pounds; frequent standing, walking, sitting; frequent use of hands to finger, handle or feel; frequent climbing or balancing; frequent stooping, kneeling, crouching or crawling; frequent talking or hearing; frequent tasting or smelling.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- Three years multi-craft (mechanical and electrical) experience.
- Experience with writing code and troubleshooting Allen-Bradley control systems – preferred.
- Two years or equivalent training industrial millwright experience preferred.
- Should be capable of entering information into computer software systems.
- Knowledge of SAP system.
- Knowledge of the operation of shop equipment.
- Rigging experience preferred.
Skills
- Knowledge of the operation of shop equipment.
- Knowledge of the National Electrical Code.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of employees of organization.
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, volume and scaling factor.
- Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Pay
The base hourly rate for this position is $38.18.
