Maintenance Shift Electrician

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate high levels of honesty, integrity, and ownership in everything they do
• Diagnose, repair, or replace components within complex electrical control systems
• Navigate PLC programs, drive configurations, and industrial communication networks throughout the troubleshooting process
• Work weekends, holidays, rotating shifts, scheduled and unscheduled overtime
• Initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times

Minimum Qualifications

• Fundamental understanding of electrical theory
• Experience troubleshooting low voltage (<600VAC) motors and controllers
• Experience troubleshooting PLCs, instrumentation, process control devices, and VFDs
• 3+ years' experience in industrial or military electrical maintenance
• Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the US; Nucor Steel Brandenburg will not sponsor the need for a visa now or in the future

Preferred Qualifications

• 2-year or 4-year degree in electrical or related field
• Experience maintaining overhead cranes
• Exposure to electrical substation equipment and maintenance practices
