Maintenance Services Representative
Panasonic Avionics Corporation (PAC) is looking to hire an A&P Licensed Mechanic (or soon to be licensed) to join our corporate team of experts. About the role
Perform maintenance, preventive maintenance, and alterations to Panasonic Avionics Corporation (PAC) In-Flight Entertainment Systems on aircraft subjected to FAA/CAA/EASA/CASA Regulations. Tasks include troubleshooting and testing electronic assemblies and units, removing and replacing electronic assemblies, units, or cabling, and modifying installed equipment.
Responsibilities
- Perform built-in test (BIT) and manual test of PAC IFE systems.
- Troubleshoot electronic units, cabling, or seat consoles to identify failures down to line replaceable modules.
- Remove and replace defective line replaceable modules and/or cabling to restore functional acceptance.
- Operate a vehicle on airport property and around aircraft.
- Operate airline communications equipment.
- Communicate and interface with customers.
- Document testing and repairs using computer and bar-coding equipment.
- Receive and prepare parts; assist in tracking spares inventory.
- Perform other reasonable related duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
- HS diploma or GED is required.
- Airframe & Powerplant License, or a related certificate of equal value, is required.
- Must pass a background and drug screening (marijuana included).
- Must have a valid driver's license.
- Must be open to most shifts, including night or graveyard shifts (airports operate 24/7).
- 0–1 year of experience in a mechanical or electrical technician position (preferred but not required).
- General knowledge of fundamental electrical mechanics or related experience (commercial aviation, military, or technical school education preferred but not required).
- 1+ years of IFE or avionics experience (highly preferred but not required).
- Ability to climb and work from a ladder or platform, and endure sitting, standing, bending, or twisting for extended periods.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work under extreme weather conditions and in confined spaces for extended periods.
- Ability to read, comprehend, and follow instructions, procedures, blueprints, diagrams, and manuals in English.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Pay
Hourly rates range from $34.30 to $45.69 based on years of experience (includes geographical differential for Honolulu). Starting rates increase with additional experience.
