Responsibilities
- Perform troubleshooting and evaluate mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical units to identify malfunction sources.
- Use blueprints, machine specifications, and schematic drawings to determine repair procedures.
- Remove and replace defective units, controls, or components.
- Test and repair components such as PC boards, power supplies, and controls stations using oscilloscopes, VOM’s, and logic probes.
- Adjust sensitive electrical, thermal, and timing devices to meet machine specifications.
- Start repaired and/or new equipment to ensure readiness for operation.
- Comply with all health, safety, and environmental policies, procedures.
- Drive to local vendors for repair parts and supplies.
- Perform preventive maintenance on all equipment.
- Assist outside contractors such as fire systems, insurance inspectors, etc.
- Maintain monitoring of all daily industrial wastewater discharge points (pH pits and outfalls).
Requirements
- Ability to replace ball screws, servo motors, solenoid valves, and control boards.
- Willingness to obtain aerial and forklift licenses within the first year of employment.
- Proficiency in soldering, welding, and fabrication.
- Knowledge of VOM, clamp-on ammeters, hammers, pliers, and wrenches.
- Valid driver’s license with current status.
- Current forklift and aerial licenses or willingness to obtain within six months of hire.
Qualifications
- Required: High School Diploma or GED.
- PREFERRED: Associate's Degree in Industrial Maintenance Technology or related technical field.
- At least 1 year experience as a Machine Maintenance Technician involving electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, including repairing CNC equipment.
- At least 3 years' experience as a Machine Maintenance Technician involving electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, including repairing CNC equipment.
- At least 5 years' experience as a Machine Maintenance Technician involving electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, including repairing CNC equipment.
