Join us at Rixos - New Alamein, where life pulses with passion! As a Maintenance Senior Supervisor – Equipment, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities.
Responsibilities
- Ensure all works are carried out as per instructions and specifications.
- Liaise with superiors to discuss day-to-day operational requirements, achievements, and improvements and take necessary action accordingly.
- Be prepared to work unsociable hours or overtime as dictated by your manager.
- Find faults on kitchen equipment and troubleshoot.
- Ensure good work practices and reporting procedures.
- Timekeeping and personal hygiene must be of the highest standards.
- To assist the team when needed and ensure all problems are dealt with professionally.
- To ensure PPM services are performed on equipment as directed by management.
- Behave in a professional manner at all times.
- Develop and maintain good working relationships with clients.
- Handle every complaint/suggestion from managers with a positive attitude, sincerity, and promptness.
- Discuss all complaints/suggestions with superior and take remedial action.
- Attend regular meetings (tool box talks) with other staff to share mutual concerns, work practices, improvement plans, and to communicate company's policies, standards, objectives, and other helpful information.
- Maintain a professional and pleasant working relationship with all superiors and peers at all times.
- Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with the HSE management system.
- Report all accidents, fire losses, theft, and damages to Supervisor/Manager immediately and follow proper procedures. Where appropriate, take remedial action.
- Work according to the policies, procedures, and instructions identified by the Chief Engineer.
- Take part in the Emergency Response Teams.
- Take all measures required for occupational and worker health and comply with all measures taken.
- Predict activities and purchase equipment and belongings that may create disease for the environment, participate in activities to protect biological diversity, and share responsibilities to increase environmental knowledge and carry out necessary trainings. Provide minimum consumption of current stuffs and equipment (paper, printed out etc.).
- Implement necessary warnings and departmental trainings to save energy inside the facility and carry out decisions taken for saving energy. Predict effects of the environment and efficiency of energy on purchased equipment.
- Implement responsibilities to eliminate and collect waste in a proper way, reduce environmental pollution, and harmful effects to the environment.
- Carry out all responsibilities related to the quality management and food safety management systems implemented at the facilities.
- Carry out all other duties assigned by managers and hotel management not specified in the job description.
Requirements
- Education: At least a technical high school or vocational diploma.
- Experience: At least 5 years of practical experience required by the job.
- Foreign Language: Not required.
- Courses and Training: Not required.
- Computer Literacy: Not required.
- Skills: Expected to use non-standard, specific tools and devices related to the job and that can be learned in a few months. If necessary, expected to possess certification in the related field (apprenticeship certification, semi-skilled certification). Expected to possess technical knowledge about the methods, techniques, and processes related to certain areas of the job.
