What You'll Do

DYS is seeking a Maintenance Repair Worker 3 (MRW3) to provide skilled maintenance repair of the facility and act as a lead worker (e.g. provides work direction, training) over youth workers in performance of semi-skilled & skilled maintenance repair.

  • Semi-skilled & Skilled Carpentry & or masonry repairs (e.g. door, cabinet locks, cabinets, chairs, desks, floors, walls, windows, partitions, steps etc.)
  • Plumbing equipment (e.g. water & steam lines, sewer pipes, trap fittings, plumbing fixtures, pumps, regulators, valves, toilets, sinks, heating, air conditioning, boilers, etc.)
  • Operated machine tools & welding equipment in making repairs to metal parts & equipment
  • On continuous basis, inspects buildings & equipment for needed repairs or replacements & performs systematic & routine preventive maintenance of assigned area.

Hours

Hours are generally 8AM to 4PM but there may be opportunities for overtime. For example, snow removal in the winter and assisting in other areas of the facility. Weekend hours are required.
